I was born in 97 n I luv Harry s music n I’ve been to a few tribute concerts that his family played in and I luv his music so much!!! I think the youngest band I like is green day
lol!:)
Geeezzz how could you not mention Bob Dillon, especially in the same sentence with Joan Baez…..as well as Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendricks, Janis Joplin, The Greatful Dead, The Who, Peter, Paul & Mary, Arlo Gutrie, Stevie Nicks…etc etc etc……here’s one for ya……look up the Seekers on you tube……what a treat !!!
I have travelled 200,000 miles and ended back in the little town where I met my ex back in high school. So I have stayed where I have been. I told her I did want to settle down and asked if she would take me back once more. When she said no I told her that I was a happy man, but that it would be better if she was there with me. Now she is gone and I am still here, racking up miles and going no where.
Brings memories back of my household in the 70′s.
When stereo receivers had a giant 3″ stainless steel volume knob… This song got a lot of air time in my home – thanks for taking the time to post
Great picture at 4:05 I was not born until 85. But I could tell Harry had so much true emotion when he was doing his songs and meant it when he sang it each and every time. I am into this kind of music. Harry, Jim Croce, Janis Joplin, Meat loaf, John Denver although I just found out who John Denver was the other day. Most of today’s music is crap with no emotions.
In the late 70s I saw Harry 3 times in Phoenix. Somehow I was always 1st row center. Once before the show he asked me what were the call letters were for the popular music radio station were. I could not remember. Will never forget that momentary brain freze, but someone next to me shouted it out. He always came to the lobby after the show for autographs. Still have 3 of them.
My wife had the chance to see Harry when he was in his short but spectacular heyday. To this day, she says it was the most amazing concert she has ever attended.

Harry Chapin really was an “artist” who was worthy of the title.

saw Harry Chapin every time he came to town. He put on one of the best shows that I can remember.
