@ObeyBunny Its the destination the rabbits are trying to get to at the end of their journey, i think there was some place called “the downs” where the author “Adams” came from in England!
Geez, the movie’s really rushed. There’s no time to really build up the suspense or the character development, how Bigwig built up trust with everyone at Efrafa which is what made the plan work so well, and without hearing the story of El-Ehrairah and the dog, the line about him telling Hazel what to do (and Fiver’s premonition) is pretty pointless.
Watership Down is great, I think it’s fine the way it is. But I will say this, I know Disney is evil and greedy still, I can’t hate their movies, I love them too much and not all of them suck.
I never liked that they killed off Blackavar in the movie version — I was fond of his character and I really love how he came alive after his escape and when he wasn’t under the thumb of the General.
Woundwort was almost tempted to take Hazel’s terms, but did not. Sic semper tyrannis! Good God, do not let today’s Disney get their filthy capitalist hands on this movie!
Hazel’s prayer at 3:54 is moving and Frith’s response is interesting. There is no bargaining with God. Of course, man is the exception. Abraham and Moses were the few who successfully bargained with God.
@goldblaze93 i dont know. at school we have a litature group and we were reading watershipdown and someone tried to find if there was a sequel and said that the name of it was tales of watershipdown

I’m probably going to ask a stupid question but…, where does the name “water ship down” come from?
Yes this cartoon involves a water ship, but the story isn’t based around it.
