Before I adopt a dog, I want to know which brand of food I should consider getting it. Preferably dry dog food, but if you know good wet ones, feel free to recommend.

Nutro will give them a really heathy coat, not sure of the price for small dogs because I have two big ones.

Kittens are as delicate as newborn human babies. After all, they’re newborn and adjusting to life in the big world. Using any type of flea control on kittens could result in sickness, even death. So, it behooves you to take special care of your kittens when trying to control their fleas.
The flea is the most common insect detected in and around the house. The flea finds everything with warm blood a tasty food source. The smaller the animal is the better for them and your baby kitten fits this to a T. Controlling fleas on your kittens is not hard just time consuming.
If you never noticed, fleas only move one way, forward. They are little, black, and skinny and go in a forward movement and they are very quick. Fleas have a tendency to hide out in those places you wouldn’t think of looking such as the corners and underneath the bedding of your pets. But they are good at hiding until they get a signal that a food source is nearby then they jump (pun intended) into action.
Kittens infested with fleas can cause them a lot of problems. Especially kittens less than 6 weeks old can become anemic enough the die from blood loss. If you notice the mother cat has fleas then you know the kittens do as well. Plus the bedding will be full of fleas and eggs and the cycle will continue until all the eggs are dead.
Using chemically treated “anything” on kittens is not good for them. They are babies and very delicate and one single application of chemicals could kill them. Using a safe flea control on kittens is the best way to take care of your kitten. So what effective and safe kitten flea control products are available for these young babies you ask? If you use the following, you will be able to control the fleas and save your kitten from much suffering.
The best way to control fleas on your kitten is to use natural products. Kittens can’t take chemicals anymore than human babies can. Back in “ye olden days” they planted pennyroyal herb around the outside of the house to stop fleas and other insect from entering their homes. On the inside of the house they would put pennyroyal herb under the chair, couches, in trunks, and around the inside walls. This is one method of controlling fleas but it doesn’t kill them.
A more modern approach to controlling fleas on your kitten is to use Dawn dishwashing soap.
Use a couple of drops of Dawn dishwashing soap and bath the kitten in warm water. As you wash the little guy, the fleas will make their way to his head. Simply pick off the few that make it there. Have a cup of very hot water ready to drop the fleas into as you catch them. Many breeders use Dawn dishwashing soap because it’s very effective and it kills fleas quickly.
Remember to keep the kitten warm and dry them off right away. When they get older, you can use a flea control collar.

Fresh Step litter, and add in Arm & Hammer litter box deoderizer. I have 3 cats in an apartment and NO smell. The real secret is that I clean the cat boxes *every day without fail*. Keep it scooped out (even the pee), and then take the used litter out to the trash promptly. I do it every morning just like showering and brushing my teeth, so it’s just a habit.
Cat food – dry only. Wet food is bad for their teeth anyway. The dry food really doesn’t smell.
Seriously – keep the box clean – scoop it every day, use the deoderizer, and you’ll have zero smell.

My kitten is a little black kitten and my mom and I can’t seem to think of a good color for her. I’m currently training her to a collar with a build-a-bear collar to get her comfortable with one. I just don’t know what color for her! (10 points to the best answerer!)
Forgot to ask: Should we take the bell off the collar or leave it on?

I took the bell off of my kitten’s collar.
I think a black kitten should have a nice bright collar.
Since she is a girl, try a yellow-orange, flamingo pink or lime green. I think they’d all look awesome.
A dark collar like navy blue or maroon would be the worst colors.
Also, when you are not watching her, dont keep that build a bear collar on her. She can choke without a proper cat collar on.

This is my dog lady bug. I think she is part German Shepherd. She wandered up to my house a bout 2 years a go. I never found the owners. I think she might have been abused. She use to cower all the time, sometimes growl and sake. I would spend ours with her every day. I gained her trust by laying on the grand and letting her come to me. I finely got her eating out of my hand. She is now doing tricks and loves to learn new things. She has become more friendly and less afraid of people. I trained her by useing a clicker. I have a nine month old cat, and I’ve been told to not feed her anything with by-products or too many fillers. With my budget, though, it’s been hard to find something that I can afford on a regular basis. Could anyone reccommend to me a wet and/or dry cat food that’s affordable, healthy, and that my cat will eat?
