We noticed Carolyn’s whistling seemed to really annoy Lemonjello! So we (John The Canadien was present too) took 2 videos of Carolyn whistling and annoying the cats. The first one is 1 minute and just shows Lemonjello being annoyed with Carolyn’s whistling.

The SECOND VIDEO, however, is where the magic happens. At almost 8 minutes in length, Carolyn’s whistling drives Lemonjello crazy enough that he seems to erroneously come to the conclusion that said whistling sound is emanating from Oranjello’s anus.

Lemonjello then starts attacking Oranjello every time Carolyn whistles, sometimes looking as his ass trying to figure out why Oranjello’s asshole is whistling.

It was some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen all year, I was ultimately laughing so hard that my face was soaking wet from tears streaming down it.

You can hear Carolyn’s ringtone — the Gargoyles theme song — at the end of the video (she was called). So simple with Android. Get Gargoyles episode from harddrive. Extract audio to wav. Plug phone into computer’s usb. Copy wav file over. Get ringtone. No bullshit. No Apple walled garden stopping you from doing this. I’d like to see any Apple user do that.

This is a neighborhood cat that stops by now and then. I can’t get anywhere near it so it gives me a chance to use my 300mm lens. I got close enough this time so that I didn’t have to crop it much. I lied down on the ground to get at its level.

Tips on Making Your Cat’s Indoor Life More Interesting

Cats that live free in the wild or anywhere spend much of every day “hunting” for food. Indoor cats have life easier……or do they? We probably need to find more creative ways to provide cats with some of the same kind of stimulation free living cats enjoy. It is very much a cat’s instinct to hunt for food; however, our indoor cats usually have their food put literally at their paw-tips.

What can a cat owner do to provide the indoor cat with more food hunting stimulation?

* Buy food puzzles or cat toys that allow the insertion of bits of food or treats

* Special fountains make drinking water more interesting

* Timed feeders allow you to vary the times at which they will dispense food for your cat

Make your own food puzzle:

* Start with a clean yogurt container with a lid

* Cut a small hole in the side

* Make sure the edges of the hole are smooth

* Put some dry cat food in the container and roll it along the floor

* The cat will learn it has to continually roll the container so the food will spill out, piece by piece

You can also hide your cat’s food in several locations around the house instead of putting it in one spot. It is much more entertaining for your cat if he or she has to hunt for its food every day. This helps to satisfy the cat’s basic instincts of hunting for food. Don’t allow your cat to see where you have hidden the food. Start with hiding small amounts of dry food under a paper cup or a plate in various locations. Another interesting option is to use an egg carton. This way the cat will have to scoop bit by bit out of the wells.

Mental stimulation using tricks:

Tricks are not just for kids! Tricks are not just for dogs! You can teach your cat tricks much in the same way dogs are trained. Many cats can be trained to fetch or perform other simple tricks using conventional training methods or clicker training. There are many books and videos to help you learn how to train your cat. Trick training will help your cat avoid boredom and also provide another way for owner and pet to interact and bond.

Socializing is another worthwhile way to spend time with your pet. What you can do:

* Spend some time every day just sitting and petting your cat

* Everyday, brush your cat’s coat

Even though cats have the strong reputation of being solitary hunters, they are also social creatures that do indeed enjoy human company. They need attention from their owners. Studies show interaction between humans and pets helps make people healthier and calmer. Enjoy the experience. The time spent with your pet is just as therapeutic for you as for the pet.

Wet Food Versus Dry Food To Promote Pet Health In Cats

There has been a long standing question concerning the benefits of feeding your feline friend wet food more than dry food, and vice versa.Although there are many benefits to both types of food, it has been found that wet food is somewhat of a necessity for cats. This does not mean that cats should be fed wet food every single meal or even every day for that matter. However, it is suggested that there be a positive mix a few times per week of wet cat food to supplement the nutritional value of the accompanying dry food.

What Is The Difference In The Two FoodsDry food contain many minerals that promote proper pet health. In dogs, it is actually suggested that dry food be their main course. However, cats are different in the respect that their bodies require more protein than other animals. In most cases, wet food contains more protein than dry food. Proteins in a cat’s body will help with the synthesizing of important amino acids, which they do not receive by eating solely dry food. The amino acids produced help the cat grow as well as create a physiological homeostasis through body regulation. When cats are subjected to a deficiency in protein, they may exhibit certain signs.1.
