Pisten Bully Snowed In (Dark)

This is a very old Kässbohrer Pisten Bully snowgroomer at the edge of Langjökull glacier. The Pisten Bully is covered in snow, the picture is taken during a snowstorm.
In this shot I brought the darks up a lot in Lightroom. I didn’t on the other shot.
They use these machines at ski resorts to make tracks for the skiers and also on the glaciers to make tracks for snowmobiles when the snow is gone. Then they mill the ice on the glacier to make the glacier slushy for the snowmobiles.
This machine belongs to the Mountaineers of Iceland.

Tech note: shot wide open at f 2.8 to really blur out the background to give focus to the dogs.
I said www.flickr.com/photos/mikebaird/5076413065/ was the BEST of the eight shots (even though it depicts less action it is much sharper in focus as seen in the original sizes) – do you agree?

What is a Seamless Texture / Pattern?
A seamless texture is an special image, where one side of a image exactly matches the opposite side, so that the edges blend into each other when repeated. Seamless textures are used for desktop wallpaper, webpage backgrounds, video games, Photoshop fills and in 3D rendering programs.
How did you make it?
This texture was made using software specially designed to aid in seamless texture creation. Some of the programs I’ve use are Photoshop, Illustrator, Filter Forge, Genetica, Image Synth, Alien Skin, Topaz Labs, Imagelys, and a Wacom tablet.

I love this song and knew I wanted some video of it. When it started, I wanted to dance (you can see the camera bouncing all over the place), so I gave the camera to Shannon. She misunderstood and thought I wanted video of me dancing. Later, after I saw it, I asked her why I was in the whole thing, and the confusion was revealed. What’s funniest is that I kept looking back and trying to move out of the way. Oh well! Despite the poor sound quality and me in the way of the whole thing, I’m glad I have at least one version of it to listen to/watch.
BTW, how much do I love that there’s a Gershwin "Rhapsody in Blue" riff in there? Neat!
