How can vegetarianism stop animal injustice? Surprisingly, I get this question frequently. Just think about the idea. One definition of animal cruelty is “the infliction of suffering or harm upon animals, other than humans, for purposes other than self-defense. More narrowly, it can be harm for specific gain, such as killing animals for food or fur use.” Vegetarians and vegans do a great job at taking the important measures in this society to prevent infliction of pain or harm to animals for food. Some people decide to turn into vegans or vegetarians because of their belief that animals should not suffer for human benefit. Vegetarians believe that animals have just as much right to life as people.
People can fulfill their nutritional necessities without the need to eat animal flesh, so why do billions of people still carry on to participate in the infliction of bodily pain, suffering, and loss of life of animals, by eating animal flesh? Vegetation provide all the required nutritional vitamins and nutrients that we need to live a healthy and balanced and satisfying life.
Animal meat manufacturing is horrible. The treatment of animals bred for meat eaters is without a doubt unspeakable. Ask most people and they do not actually contemplate exactly where their meat comes from, what conditions the animals were raised in and what life was like for that animal. Many individuals don’t know and may feel it’s much better to not know (as they saying goes – “ignorance is bliss – or is it), as it would perhaps make them squeamish and think twice about eating meat in all round. Think about all the pain that an animal had to endure before it arrived on a person’s dinner table. Why would anyone want to consume the negative & dead energy of that animal’s suffering? Vegetarians believe we all have a right to a happy and long existence and so their choice not to consume animal flesh is based on the fact that it is cruel and unnecessary to eat an animal when we can perfectly live on consuming vegetation alone.
What people do not know is that many farm bred animals are force fed food to bulk them up. Many animals are injected with growth hormones to make them grow quicker and bigger resulting in more money for the farmers and manufacturers. Most animals are forced to live their lives in barns without getting a chance to experience the outdoors or get adequate exercise. Although meat eaters might not be physically engaging in the act of force feeding the animals, keeping them in barns, etc. they have to start reflecting upon their involvement and participation in the entire production and meat consumption process.
Just like any other business, the meat industry’s production is based on supply and demand. The more people who adopt a vegan or vegetarian diet, the less demand there will be for animals to be harmed physically, tortured and killed.
Many people believe that if they eat free range or organic meat products, such as chickens, then at least the animal has had a good life, quality food and freedom to roam. But that animal was still born in to existence for the sole purpose of being killed for the meat hungry consumer. Is this not animal cruelty too? You can’t justify consuming free range foods and say you are in opposition to animal-cruelty. Actually, I don’t believe you can enjoy meat or carry leather purses and wear leather coats and say you are against animal cruelty.

I’m a vegetarian because the taste of meat is disgusting. I really don’t care about animals. But seriously, the animal is already dead, so how vegetarians save it’s life? Do they break in to the pasture and steal animals away at night?

I guess you never heard of supply and demand or the “if your friends jumped off a bridge” scenario. Plus, even if others eat meat that doesn’t make me want to also have any blood on my hands.

One of my friend’s dogs got attacked in the park but now I’m kind of scared that will happen to my dog. My dog is a 2 year old lab if he gets into a fight with another dog in the dog park how can I stop it? Cause you know how the dogs aren’t on leashes they just run around. How would I stop a dog fight?
If I did use pepper spray do I spray it at the dogs or where?

Never come between fighting dogs – you could end up severely injured. Carry pepper spray with you. If you have a cell phone, bring that, too, call the police if that should happen.

1. Stop Your Cat Spraying In The House
A huge behaviour problem cat owners can face is scent spraying. This is usually only a cat behaviour problem with male cats once they reach sexual maturity. You will find your kitten didn’t do this. Cat spraying, although it is viewed by us as a behavioural problem, to a cat it is a very normal thing to do, they are simply marking their territory to other male cats. The smell of cat urine in this case can be unbearable, as the scent is a concentrated for of cat urine. One of the easiest methods to stop this is to have your cat neutered. Once your cat is neutered he will no longer feel the territorial urge and therefore stop spraying. If you are against neutering your cat you can also try leaving a bowl of food where your cat is spraying, as cats will not urinate where there is food. Either way this should stop this cat behaviour problem.
2. Stop your cat from being a fussy eater
Although being a fussy eater my not seem like a cat behaviour problem, it most certainly is. If your cat has become fussy through eating human food or a certain type of food and refuses to eat anything else then it will not be getting the proper nutrients that it requires. This leads to bad tempered cats, with all manner of health problems. A good way to rectify this cat behaviour problem is to start by mixing a little of the food is has become use to with normal cat food, and then gradually increase the cat food and reduce the other food. Eventually you will have your cat eating normal cat food again and this bad behaviour will have stopped.
3. Stop your cat from scratching the furniture
This is an awful cat behaviour problem that starts from a very young age. If you can, stop this problem as soon as it starts. You will need to purchase a scratching post for your cat, these can be found in all good pet stores. Every time your cat goes to scratch the furniture take the cat to the scratching post and place its claws on the twine, your cat will soon get the idea and the scratching will take place on the post and not your furniture.
4. Stop you cat from fighting
If your cat is fighting, it is normally a territorial behaviour. Although this is deemed to be a bad behaviour by us, for cats it is normal and they are just protecting their territory. There are only really two way you can stop this, the first is to neuter your cat, where by the cat will no longer feel the need to exert its territorial rights, or to keep your cat in. This is a choice that should be made caringly by the owner.
5. Stop your cat from howling
This bad cat behaviour is normally performed by female cats on heat. They howl to attract the attention of the other cats in the neighbour hood. You cannot stop this bad behaviour with out neutering your female cat, although you can try to ease the suffering of your neighbours of you don’t wish to neuter your cat, by keeping the cat indoors during the time when she is on heat.

I have 2 black kitties. They use their 2 litterboxes but no matter I keep their litterboxes clean all day (I actually clean it 2 times a day), they keep on pooping on my wooden floor. Is there any way I can prevent this?, or at least I want to remove their marks from the floor since they do it in the same spot all of the time. Thanks

Okay, here’s the list, if you’ve already done it, disregard it.
Place them in the litterbox EVERY time you catch them doing somewhere they’re not supposed to. They will try to get out, but put them back in a few times before leaving them alone.
Don’t use litter that has a lot of dust. Try the dust-free kind, or Feline Pine.
And to get the marks off the floor, just some cleaner, a good scrub brush, and some elbow grease should do it.
